Show Notes

  1. Athletes start a sport and become professional to play their SPORT more often – not to do ALL other stuff we make them do. It is crucial to keep this in mind.
  2. Try to have an IMPACT on your athletes as fellow HUMANS first. Don’t just make it about their performance. There is so much more you can do FOR THEM than just improve their training.
  3. Mobility, warm-up work and all the EXTRAS are a lot like “BRUSHING YOUR TEETH” – you can do it now to avoid problems later, or alternatively you have a higher chance of seeing the “doctor” later.
  4. Consider the concept of INFORMED risk in your training and coaching whenever possible. Try to avoid guessing, and implement information-based work whenever possible.
