Show Notes

  1. There is ALREADY a rider BIAS in EVERY talent development program: you have in MOST CASES picked people because of how they are DOING RIGHT NOW. But you want to rather focus on FUTURE PERFORMANCE, which could be, and often is, different.
  2. When you are looking at athletes with LOTS of training history and work capacity, you might need to REARRANGE their training profile based on their PHENOTYPE – try to figure that out before just throwing random workouts at them.
  3. As you train, you become a BETTER FAT burner, so then you can use more ATP and glucose for SHORT bursty efforts at the end of a race. This ultimately is DURABILITY.
