  1. You do not need to be EARLY in a sport to make it far – particularly not in endurance. Start slowly building a base with ANY activity. Yet, if you happen to pick running, remember that the amount of impact forces requires more specific training than other endurance sports.

  2. Do not expect that training will be the same all the time. Slow endurance blocks, hard HIIT sessions, or a variety of environmental factors can be happening at different times along the way. This is a good thing, and you probably want to implement and try this in your training sooner rather than later.
