- Be the coach you would like to have yourself, or you would have liked to have had when you were an athlete.
- Try to be a student of the game/sport – whether you are an athlete or not, try to play it, run it, cycle it – do it at your own level to see how it feels.
- Testing needs to be consistent first, and consistent second. That is it, everything else is usually fluff.
- The wellbeing of your athlete should be at the core of everything you do. For those not in the know: most wellbeing models consider the PHYSICAL, MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL and SPIRITUAL health.
